The Socorro Warrior basketball team traveled to Reserve on Friday and Saturday for games against Magdalena on Friday and Reserve on Saturday. Entering the game against Magdalena on Friday the Warriors were coming off an unexpected home loss to Cottonwood Classical Prep on Wednesday, which followed a loss to Farmington for a two game losing streak. That streak was not to end on Friday against an undefeated Magdalena squad that dominated throughout for a 91-37 win. Starting point guard and leading scorer Duda Jackson did not participate in the game against Magdalena and that surely had some impacted on the contest. On Saturday the Warriors, with Jackson back in the lineup, defeated host Reserve by a score of 78-34 to stop the three game losing streak. With the victory the Warriors are now 11-5 and will host Moriarty at home on Tuesday January 18th.
