The New Mexico Lobo men’s basketball played the second of a two game series with Nevada on Saturday evening looking to avenge a 14 point to the Wolf Pack on Thursday but got outscored 15-4 down the stretch of the game to fall by a score of 84-74. The Lobos had taken the lead 70-69 with a 10-0 run of their own but saw Nevada storm back with 11-0 run to lead by ten at 80-70 and the teams scored 4 each to end the game. The Lobos are now 3-4 overall and 0-4 in Mountain West play. Because of New Mexico’s COVID-19 restrictions the basketball teams are having to practice and play out of state with Lubbock Christian playing host to the Lobos. The Lobos lost their previous Mountain West series at Boise State. The Lobos will take on Utah State in Lubbock on January 6th and 8th for their next MWC series.
