These are the latest COVID-19 statistics for New Mexico:

Bernalillo (21), Dona Ana (18), and Eddy (14) counties all had more than ten new cases. Bernalillo (172), McKinley (255) and San Juan (197) account for 73% of all deaths in New Mexico.

Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 91/6 (31 active cases), Catron 9/1 (4 active case), Cibola 406/20 (144 active cases), Lincoln 189/3 (98 active cases), Sierra 43/1 (26 active cases), Torrence 66/1(20 active cases) , Valencia 558/4 (221 active cases)

Harding County and De Baca County have no active cases.

Hispanics/Latinos make up 45% of positive and Native Americans make up 30% of positive cases in New Mexico.

Those over 70 years old make up 8.0% of all positive cases in NM while accounting for 58% of all deaths in the state.

Those over the age of 50 make up 89% of the deaths from COVID-19 while making up only 31% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.5% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions (UMCs) present for those under 50 only 0.07% have died. Those under 50 with no UMCs make up 1.5% of all deaths in New Mexico.

No one under the age of 20 that has tested positive for COVID-19 has died. Of positive tests for those under thirty only 0.08% have died. If there is no UMCs present only 0.02% have died. Those under the age of 30 account for 36% of positive cases in the state and 0.94% of all deaths from COVID-19 in New Mexico. Those under 30 with no UMCs present account for 0.23% of all deaths in the state.

84% of those that have died from COVID-19 also had underlying medical conditions.

New Mexico has the 22nd highest deaths per 100,000 (40) among U.S. states and territories. The U.S. 10th in the world in deaths per 1 million.
