These are the latest COVID-19 statistics for New Mexico:

Bernalillo (576), Dona Ana (223), Sandoval (130), Chaves (124), McKinley (116), San Juan (116), Santa Fe (114), Lea (95), Valencia (59), Rio Arriba (37), Curry (36) Eddy (35), Taos (28), Otero (25), Lincoln (23), Roosevelt (22), Cibola (21), Luna (19), and Colfax (11) counties all had more than ten new cases.

Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 569/27 deaths (329 active cases), Catron 34/1 (25 active cases), Cibola 1,532/40 (958 active cases), Lincoln 714/7 (460 active cases), Sierra 291/3 (224 active cases), Torrance 277/2 (183 active cases) , Valencia 2,602/22 (1914 active cases.) There have been 214 cases in zip code 87801 (City of Socorro.) The number of active cases is unknown.

Those over 70 years old make up 7.77% of all positive cases in NM while accounting for 59% of all deaths in the state.

Those over the age of 50 make up 89% of the deaths from COVID-19 while making up only 30% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.26% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions (UMCs) present for those under 50 only 0.036% have died. Those under 50 with no UMCs make up 1.52% of all deaths in New Mexico.

Two people under the age of 20 that have tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Of positive tests for those under 30 only 0.065% have died. If there is no UMCs present only 0.012% have died. Those under the age of 30 account for 36% of positive cases in the state and 1.45% of all deaths from COVID-19 in New Mexico. Those under 30 with no UMCs present account for 0.28% of all deaths in the state.

83% of those that have died from COVID-19 also had underlying medical conditions.

New Mexico has the 25th highest deaths per 100,000 (69) among U.S. states and territories. The U.S. 9th in the world in deaths per 1 million.
