Bernalillo County with 87 new cases and 38 in Dona Ana County were the most new cases. 76 new cases in individuals held by federal agencies at the Cibola County Correctional Center. Bernalillo (113), McKinley (217) and San Juan (178) account for 80% of all deaths in New Mexico.
Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 71/5 (25 active cases), Catron 4/1 (3 active case), Cibola 306/17 (158 active cases), Lincoln 88/1 (78 active cases), Sierra 28/0 (21 active cases), Torrence 59/1(38 active cases) , Valencia 342/4 (220 active cases)
De Baca is the only county to have had no cases of COVID-19. Harding county has no active cases.
Hispanics/Latinos each make up 40% of positive and Native Americans make up 37% of positive cases in New Mexico.
Those over the age of 50 make up 90% of the deaths from COVID-19 and while making up only 31% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.48% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions present only 0.072% have died.
No one under the age of 20 that has tested positive for COVID-19 has died. Of positive tests for those under thirty only 0.07% have died.
84% of those that have died from COVID-19 also had underlying medical conditions.
