These are the latest COVID-19 statistics for New Mexico:

Total COVID-19 cases-19,502 / New cases 467 / Deaths 619 / Recoveries 7,459 / Active COVID-19 cases 11,242 / Current hospitalizations 159 / Tested 528,890 / 3.7% Positivity rate

Bernalillo County with 62 new cases, 76 in Dona Ana County, and 25 in Lea County had the most new cases. There were 170 new cases held by federal agencies at the Cibola County Correctional Center. Bernalillo (109), McKinley (215) and San Juan (178) account for 81% of all deaths in New Mexico.

Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 71/5 (26 active cases), Catron 4/1 (3 active case), Cibola 302/17 (155 active cases), Lincoln 75/1 (69 active cases), Sierra 26/0 (20 active cases), Torrence 56/1(35 active cases) , Valencia 319/3 (204 active cases)

De Baca is the only county to have had no cases of COVID-19. Harding county has no active cases.

Hispanics/Latinos each make up 39% of positive and Native Americans make up 38% of positive cases in New Mexico.

Those over the age of 50 make up 89% of the deaths from COVID-19 and while making up only 32% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.49% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions present only 0.07% have died.

No one under the age of 20 that has tested positive for COVID-19 has died. Of positive tests for those under thirty only 0.073% have died.

84% of those that have died from COVID-19 also had underlying medical conditions.
