These are the latest COVID-19 statistics for New Mexico:

Total COVID-19 cases-19,042 / New cases 266 / Deaths 614 / Recoveries 7,349 / Active COVID-19 cases 11,079 / Current hospitalizations 144 / Tested 520,718 / 3.7% Positivity rate

Bernalillo County with 91 new cases, 26 in Dona Ana County, and 22 in Curry County had the most new cases. Bernalillo (107), McKinley (214) and San Juan (178) account for 81% of all deaths in New Mexico.

Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 71/5 (29 active cases), Catron 4/1 (3 active case), Cibola 294/17 (147 active cases), Lincoln 75/1 (70 active cases), Sierra 26/0 (19 active cases), Torrence 52/1(31 active cases) , Valencia 313/3 (199 active cases)

De Baca is the only county to have had no cases of COVID-19. Harding county has no active cases.

Native Americans and Hispanics/Latinos each make up 39% of positive cases in New Mexico.

Those over the age of 50 make up 89% of the deaths from COVID-19 and while making up only 32% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.51% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions present only 0.08% have died.

No one under the age of 20 that has tested positive for COVID-19 has died. Of positive tests for those under thirty only 0.075% have died.

84% of those that have died from COVID-19 also had underlying medical conditions.
