These are the latest COVID-19 statistics for New Mexico:

Total COVID-19 cases-18,788 / New cases 317 / Deaths 607 / Recoveries 7,268 / Active COVID-19 cases 10,718 / Current hospitalizations 148 / Tested 512,425 / 3.7% Positivity rate

Bernalillo County with 93 new cases, 64 in Dona Ana County, and 28 in Lea and McKinley counties accounted for 67% the new cases. Bernalillo (106), McKinley (210) and San Juan (178) account for 81% of all deaths in New Mexico.

Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 68/5 (26 active cases), Catron 4/1 (3 active case), Cibola 292/17 (146 active cases), Lincoln 68/1 (63 active cases), Sierra 25/0 (19 active cases), Torrence 52/1(31 active cases) , Valencia 302/2 (191 active cases)

De Baca is the only county to have had no cases of COVID-19. Harding county has no active cases.

Native Americans and Hispanics/Latinos each make up 39% of positive cases in New Mexico.

Those over the age of 50 make up 89% of the deaths from COVID-19 and while making up only 32% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.50% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions present only 0.08% have died.

No one under the age of 20 that has tested positive for COVID-19 has died. Of positive tests for those under thirty only 0.076% have died.

84% of those that have died from COVID-19 also had underlying medical conditions.
