These are the latest COVID-19 statistics for New Mexico:

Total COVID-19 cases-18,475 / New cases 317 / Deaths 601 / Recoveries 7156 / Active COVID-19 cases 10,718 / Current hospitalizations 161 / Tested 505,177 / 3.7% Positivity rate

Bernalillo County with 96 new cases, 42 in Dona Ana County, and 24 in McKinley County had the most new cases. Bernalillo (104), McKinley (209) and San Juan (177) account for 82% of all deaths in New Mexico. The state is now averaging less than five deaths a day, well below the peak of 10 deaths a day in mid-May.

Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 68/5 (26 active cases), Catron 4/1 (3 active case), Cibola 287/17 (141 active cases), Lincoln 64/1 (59 active cases), Sierra 22/0 (16 active cases), Torrence 52/1(31 active cases) , Valencia 295/2 (189 active cases)

De Baca is the only county to have had no cases of COVID-19. Harding county has no active cases.

Those over the age of 50 make up 89% of the deaths from COVID-19 and while making up only 32% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.51% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions present only 0.08% have died.

No one under the age of 20 that has tested positive for COVID-19 has died. Of positive tests for those under thirty only 0.08% have died.

84% of those that have died from COVID-19 also had underlying medical conditions.
