These are the latest COVID-19 statistics for New Mexico:

Total COVID-19 cases-18,163 / New cases 316 / Deaths 596 / Recoveries 7,056 / Active COVID-19 cases 10,538 / Current hospitalizations 167 / Tested 496,985 / 3.7% Positivity rate

Bernalillo County with 126 new cases, 33 in Lea County, 31 in Dona Ana County, 26 in McKinley County and 21 in San Juan accounted for 69% of new cases. Bernalillo (102), McKinley (209) and San Juan (176) account for 83% of all deaths in New Mexico. The state is now averaging less than five deaths a day, well below the peak of 10 deaths a day in mid-May.

Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 68/5 (26 active cases), Catron 4/1 (3 active case), Cibola 283/17 (140 active cases), Lincoln 47/1 (42 active cases), Sierra 22/0 (17 active cases), Torrence 52/1(31 active cases) , Valencia 285/2 (183 active cases)

De Baca is the only county to have had no cases of COVID-19. Harding county has no active cases.

Those over the age of 50 make up 89% of the deaths from COVID-19 and while making up only 32% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.51% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions present only 0.08% have died.

No one under the age of 20 that has tested positive for COVID-19 has died. Of positive tests for those under thirty only 0.08% have died.

84% of those that have died from COVID-19 also had underlying medical conditions.
