Bernalillo (560), San Juan (208), Sandoval (128), Lea (117), Valencia (108), Dona Ana (101), Chaves (90), McKinley (89), Santa Fe (83), Eddy (74), Curry (53), Otero (35), Roosevelt (28), Luna (25), Grant (24), Cibola (19), Rio Arriba (17), Guadalupe (13), Union (12), San Miguel (11), Socorro (11), and Taos (11) counties all had more than ten cases.

Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 755/33 deaths (429 active cases), Catron 51/1 (38 active cases), Cibola 1,873/52 (1,136 active cases), Lincoln 915/9 (543 active cases), Sierra 437/12 (303 active cases), Torrance 395/2 (288 active cases) , Valencia 3,899/44 (2,822 active cases.) There have been 315 cases in zip code 87801 (City of Socorro.) The number of active cases is unknown.

Those over 70 years old make up 7.87% of all positive cases in NM while accounting for 60% of all deaths in the state. The case fatality rate for those over 70 is 12.39%.

Those over the age of 50 make up 90% of the deaths from COVID-19 while making up only 31% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.24% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions (UMCs) present for those under 50 only 0.042% have died. Those under 50 with no UMCs make up 1.80% of all deaths in New Mexico.

Three people under the age of 20 that have tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Of positive tests for those under 30 only 0.056% have died. If there are no UMCs present only 0.093% have died. Those under the age of 30 account for 37% of positive cases in the state and 1.27% of all deaths from COVID-19 in New Mexico. Those under 30 with no UMCs present account for 0.21% of all deaths in the state.

New Mexico has the 21st highest deaths per 100,000 (90) among U.S. states and territories. The U.S. 11th in the world in deaths per 1 million.
