These are the latest COVID-19 statistics for New Mexico:

Total COVID-19 cases-21,340 / New cases 214 / Deaths 658 / Recoveries 8,685 / Active COVID-19 cases 12,087 / Current hospitalizations 133 / Tested 590,825 / 3.6% Positivity rate

Bernalillo County with 67, Dona Ana County with 34, and Lea County with 23 were the counties with the most new cases. Bernalillo (120), McKinley (222) and San Juan (181) account for 80% of all deaths in New Mexico.

Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 73/6 (23 active cases), Catron 4/1 (3 active case), Cibola 345/17 (190 active cases), Lincoln 110/1 (92 active cases), Sierra 30/0 (23 active cases), Torrence 60/1(38 active cases) , Valencia 381/4 (242 active cases)

De Baca is the only county to have had no cases of COVID-19. Harding county has no active cases.

Hispanics/Latinos make up 41% of positive and Native Americans make up 36% of positive cases in New Mexico.

Those over the age of 50 make up 90% of the deaths from COVID-19 and while making up only 31% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.47% have died. If there are no underlying medical conditions present only 0.068% have died.

No one under the age of 20 that has tested positive for COVID-19 has died. Of positive tests for those under thirty only 0.066% have died.

84% of those that have died from COVID-19 also had underlying medical conditions.
