Socorro and bordering counties: Socorro County 1,165/47 deaths (349 active cases), Catron 73/4 (21 active cases), Cibola 2,643/100 (648 active cases), Lincoln 1,466/15 (559 active cases), Sierra 675/43 (191 active cases), Torrance 610/12 (232 active cases), Valencia 5,919/86 (2,064 active cases.) There have been 533 cases in zip code 87801 (City of Socorro.) The number of active cases is unknown.
Those over 70 years old make up 8.09% of all positive cases in NM while accounting for 61% of all deaths in the state. The case fatality rate for those over 70 is 14.35%.
Those under the age of 50 make up 9.62% of the deaths from COVID-19 while making up 69% of all cases. Of those that are under 50 years old only 0.27% have died. Those under 50 with no UMCs make up 2.13% of all deaths in New Mexico.
